The illusory, spectacular and unreliable artifact both mimics and threatens objective experience in an effort to exploit the appeal of history and to produce fictional portraiture of the past. Questioning the validity of art construction my work explores the intersection of the real and unreliable. By creating set-like structures and prop-like objects I encourage the audience to become the protagonist among the collection.
